CHRIST AROSE
VERSE 1
Low in the grave He lay
Jesus, my Savior
Waiting the coming day
Jesus my Lord!
CHORUS
Up from the grave He arose
with a mighty triumph o'er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain
And He lives forever with His saint to reign
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
VERSE 2
Vainly they watched His bed
Jesus my Savior
Vainly they seal the dead
Jesus my Lord!
VERSE 3
Death cannot keep its prey
Jesus my Savior
He tore the bars away
Jesus my Lord!
HE LIVES
VERSE 1
I serve a risen Savior
He's in the world today
I know that He is living
Whatever men may say
I see His hand of mercy
I hear voice of cheer
And just the time I need Him
He's always near
CHORUS
He lives! He lives!
Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives! He lives!
Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives
He lives within my heart!
VERSE 2
In all the world around me
I see His loving care
And though my heart grows weary
I never will despair
I know that He is leading
Through all the stormy blast
The day of His appearing
Will come at last
VERSE 3
Rejoice, rejoice O Christian
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King
The Hope of all who seek Him
The Help of all who find
None other is so loving
So good and kind
BECAUSE HE LIVES
CHORUS
Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living
Just because He lives
VERSE 1
God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal and forgive
He lived and died to buy my pardon
An empty grave is there to prove
My Savior lives
VERSE 2
How sweet to hold a newborn baby
And feel the pride and joy he gives
But greater still the calm assurance
This child can face uncertain days
Because He lives
VERSE 3
And then one day I'll cross the river
I'll fight life's final war with pain
And then as death gives way to victory
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know
He reigns!
DEATH WAS ARRESTED
Alone in my sorrow and dead in my sin
Lost without hope with no place to begin
Your love made a way to let mercy come in
When death was arrested and my life began
Ash was redeemed only beauty remains
My orphan heart was given a name
My mourning grew quiet my feet rose to dance
When death was arrested and my life began
Oh, Your grace so free
Washes over me
You have made me new
Now life begins with You
It's your endless love
Pouring down on us
You have made us new
Now life begins with You
Released from my chains I'm a prisoner no more
My shame was a ransom He faithfully bore
He cancelled my debt and He called me His friend
When death was arrested and my life began
Oh, Your grace so free
Washes over me
You have made me new
Now life begins with You
It's your endless love
Pouring down on us
You have made us new
Now life begins with You
Our Savior displayed on a criminal's cross
Darkness rejoiced as though heaven had lost
But then Jesus arose with our freedom in hand
That's when death was arrested and my life began
Oh, Your grace so free
Washes over me
You have made me new
Now life begins with You
It's your endless love
Pouring down on us
You have made us new
Now life begins with You
Oh, we're free, free
Forever we're free
Come join the song
Of all the redeemed
Yes, we're free, free
Forever amen
When death was arrested and my life began
Oh, we're free, free
Forever we're free
Come join the song
Of all the redeemed
Yes, we're free, free
Forever amen
When death was arrested and my life began
When death was arrested and my life began
When death was arrested and my life began
GLORIOUS DAY
I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight?
It was my tomb
'Til I met You
I was breathing, but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb
'Til I met You
You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new
Jesus, when I met You
When you called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
You called my name
Then I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
I needed rescue
My sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter
I was an orphan
Now You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken
You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I'm breathing
I have a future
My eyes are open
'Cause when you called my name
I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
PRAYER
If you would like to send in a prayer request we would be happy to pray for you. Just let us know how we can pray for you below.
MESSAGE: “I KNOW MY REDEEMER LIVES”
25 I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
26 And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;
27 I myself will see him
with my own eyes—I, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!
-Job 19:25-27, NIV
May we all be able to say with a clear conscience and a passionate heart that, “I Know My Redeemer Lives”.
The Resurrection is a Display of Jesus’s Power Over Death
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.
-Revelation 1:17-18, NIV
You can tell who won a fight by seeing who is standing in the end. In the end Jesus alone will stand upon the earth and every knee will bend and every tongue will confess the He is, “The King of Kings and Lord of Lords”.
The Resurrection is the Promise of Our Own Resurrection
Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.
-John 14:19, NIV
There is nothing that the enemy destroys that Jesus cannot resurrect. Whether it’s in this life or the next, if Jesus can raise Himself from the dead, He can resurrect your situation no matter how hopeless the circumstance.
The Resurrection is the Hope that’s in Our Hearts
If the resurrection never happened, then we don’t have a hope to hang our hat on. But if it did happen, then we have all the hope in the world. We shall experience the fullness of our hopes and dreams on the day when we come face to face with our redeemer, Jesus Christ. We shall know it was all worth it when we see the love in His eyes, feel the warmth of His embrace, and hear those words spoken from His mouth both soft and strong, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
There are so many people that missed Jesus when He walked this earth. They didn’t understand what He was here to do. They had they’re own notions as to why He came or what He should do. Some 2,000 years later, don’t you miss who Jesus really is. He is the Son of God that died for your sins and was raised to new life on the third day that you might also experience new life. He is your redeemer.
Now, do you know that your Redeemer lives?
